Here are some quotes about how weather cannot disrupt the harmony of Divine Love.
And the same day, when the even was come, he saith unto them, Let us pass over unto the other side.
36 And when they had sent away the multitude, they took him even as he was in the ship. And there were also with him other little ships.
37 And there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the ship, so that it was now full.
38 And he was in the hinder part of the ship, asleep on a pillow: and they awake him, and say unto him, Master, carest thou not that we perish?
39 And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.
40 And he said unto them, Why are ye so fearful? how is it that ye have no faith?
41 And they feared exceedingly, and said one to another, What manner of man is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?
Mark 4:35-41
And a man shall be as an hiding place from the wind, and a covert from the tempest; as rivers of water in a dry place, as the shadow of a great rock in a weary land.
Isa. 32:2
All that God imparts moves in accord with Him, reflecting goodness and power.

All that is made is the work of God, and all is good.
S&H pg 521
The divine Mind maintains all identities, from a blade of grass to a star, as distinct and eternal.

In "healing" regards to your Service Trip...enjoy Peter Henniker-Heaton's poem "Our First Aid"......
ReplyDeleteGod is our first and surest aid.
To Him in sudden need we turn
And from His instant answer learn
That God preserves what God has made.
No lawless accident we fear,
No sharp reverse of fate or chance.
Beneath His ordered governance
Only new forward steps appear.
Smoothly each detail of our day,
Inspired by Him, is brought to pass.
We see the oceans turned to glass,
The mountains to a level way.
Clad in the spotless seamless dress
Of good acknowledged everywhere,
We live and move. Nor wound nor tear
Can breach our inviolate holiness.
Framed as idea in Mind, our frame
Can neither loss nor damage know.
Though fitful shadows come and go,
Our eternal substance is the same.
The perfect Love and law that made
Man perfect must maintain him too.
In all we set our hands to do
God is our first and instant aid.

Here is modern day incident of stilling a storm. It is from the book "Mary Baker Eddy, Christian Healer" where Mrs. Eddy was praying about a storm that was forming.
ReplyDeleteThere was an ominious storm coming. One of the household members who had told Mrs. Eddy about the storm went outside and saw very heavy, black clouds right over the house and then she saw them parting. She went in and told Mrs. Eddy, who was praying about the storm, that she saw the clouds dividing overhead. Mrs. Eddy said, "Clouds! What do you mean? Are there any clouds? . . . There are not clouds to hide God's face and there is nothing that can come between the light and us -- it is divine Love's weather." The clouds turned lighter and lighter adn dissolved and the terrible wind stopped blowing.
God's face cannot be hidden.
